Your lips were like candy

I love the brittle air,
And frozen sky,
I know we said goodbye,
Soft skin,
Blue lips,
And icicle hair,
And sometimes I just don’t care.

It was cold and your lips were warm like candy,
There was lightening in your arms and then,
I remember the time you crashed your car,
I was playing my guitar.

I wish I could return to the cold rain and roses,
These are the days you might fill with laughter,
I will never be the same,
Playing a new game.

It was cold and your lips were warm like candy,
There was lightening in your arms and then,
I remember the time you crashed your car,
I was playing my guitar.

It was cold and your lips were warm like candy,
I came to a high place of darkness and light,
The dividing line ran through the center of town.

It was cold and your lips were warm like candy,
There was lightening in your arms and then,
I remember the time you crashed your car,
I was playing my guitar.
