Here in my heart,
We play the part,
Where you'll be,
Boy you don’t make sense to me.
You'll be with me,
As I held on tight to a photograph,
Entranced by his mystery,
The sun it rose and set for days,
With echoes of my agony,
What good's a heart without a home,
And no one to call my own?
The waters rush up to bathe me of a time,
And drown the memories
What's more beautiful than blood,
Caked on my velvet skin?
The dress I wore that night remains,
Awash in scarlet sin
A haunting tale of sorrow,
Underneath a murky deep
There's still a longing in those eyes that hasn't ceased to be.
Here in my heart,
It's tearing you apart.
No distance can keep us apart,
It's hard to keep an open heart,
Long as you're here in my heart,
I want to run he's pulling me apart.
You'll be with me,
As I held on tight to a photograph,
Entranced by his mystery,
The sun it rose and set for days,
With echoes of my agony,
What good's a heart without a home,
And no one to call my own?
The waters rush up to bathe me of a time,
And drown the memories
What's more beautiful than blood,
Caked on my velvet skin?
The dress I wore that night remains,
Awash in scarlet sin
A haunting tale of sorrow,
Underneath a murky deep
There's still a longing in those eyes that hasn't ceased to be.
Here in my heart,
It's tearing you apart.
You'll be with me,
There's a spot on the floor where your limbs used to be
Here in my heart,
I want to run he's pulling me apart.
You'll be with me,
As I held on tight to a photograph,
Entranced by his mystery,
The sun it rose and set for days,
With echoes of my agony,
What good's a heart without a home,
And no one to call my own?
The waters rush up to bathe me of a time,
And drown the memories
What's more beautiful than blood,
Caked on my velvet skin?
The dress I wore that night remains,
Awash in scarlet sin
A haunting tale of sorrow,
Underneath a murky deep
There's still a longing in those eyes that hasn't ceased to be.
Here in my heart,
It's tearing you apart.
