If words could tell

Nothing satisfies today,
No matter what I say,
Not in any single way,
Hopefully I'll find those words some day,
But for now they remain,
As mysterious and strange,
As what I feel in my heart.

If words could tell,
What runs through my mind,
I'd drop to my knees and begin to cry,
Not tales of sorrow but tales of glee,
Reflect from my eyes as I go blind,
Now blind and battered lying on the floor,
My sleeve worn heart can be hurt,
No more.

I look to the sun dyed outline and begin to smile,
You've stolen my heart,
If only just for a while,
The clouds had parted,
And the mist rose up,
The sunlight beamed,
From every mountain top.

If words could tell,
What runs through my mind,
I'd drop to my knees and begin to cry,
Not tales of sorrow but tales of glee,
Reflect from my eyes as I go blind,
Now blind and battered lying on the floor,
My sleeve worn heart can be hurt,
No more.

As the ocean begins to sing,
And the wind begins to dance,
I'll ask you my love,
If I may have this dance,
Across the world,
And past the stars,
My love is endless,
It can be held,
By no bars.

If words could tell,
What runs through my mind,
I'd drop to my knees and begin to cry,
Not tales of sorrow but tales of glee,
Reflect from my eyes as I go blind,
Now blind and battered lying on the floor,
My sleeve worn heart can be hurt,
No more.

So you see my problem today,
As we sit,
In the sun,
And waste the day away,
I cannot find the words,
To fill my heart's blank spot,
So for today what will do,
Is I truly,
Deeply,
Madly do,
Love you.

If words could tell,
What runs through my mind,
I'd drop to my knees and begin to cry,
Not tales of sorrow but tales of glee,
Reflect from my eyes as I go blind,
Now blind and battered lying on the floor,
My sleeve worn heart can be hurt,
No more.
