Like a gentlemen

You slowly slipped away like a memory,
And you took everything that was left of me,
But I still can't let you go,
And I just need you to know that I won't,
Take these broken wings and learn to fly,
I'm still in love with you I'm still in love with you.

Like a gentlemen I just hung my head,
And started saying the words I knew I'd dread,
And the morning came too soon,
By then there was nothing I could do.

You said you said you said,
You didn't love me anymore so I held it in,
Put on a grin and said baby that’s quite alright,
When inside I'm broken,
And there’s three little words that go unspoken.

Like a gentlemen I just hung my head,
And started saying the words I knew I'd dread,
And the morning came too soon,
By then there was nothing I could do.

So no more kisses or good night wishes,
I sleep alone and play it of like it's all ok,
But this empty feeling won't go away,
And it kills me that I can't say,
I love you in every single way.

Like a gentlemen I just hung my head,
And started saying the words I knew I'd dread,
And the morning came too soon,
By then there was nothing I could do.

I'd do anything for you to hold my hand,
And I pray to god you can understand,
I'll always love you,
I’ll always love you,
I will always.

Like a gentlemen I just hung my head,
And started saying the words I knew I'd dread,
And the morning came too soon,
By then there was nothing I could do.
